Hi, I’m Gareth Briggs. I make games and other things, specialising in projects that flirt between the physical and digital.
I've been making games my whole life, starting with a re-skin for Monopoly that transferred the whole game into space. I've never stopped, and now design every type of game imaginable. I work in every style I can, but my preference is for games that bring players closer to each other and play with physical space, often with inventive use of simple props and technology. I firmly believe that a few well-written and considered rules and props, designed to overlap intelligently, produce a better game than a lot of just rules, or just props.
When I'm not making games and things, I like to write about food and music, and to go further and faster, whether on foot, a bike, or in water.
